Government’s deficit spending requires increases in the money supply. Each time the money supply is increased, prices are bid up. Between 1800 and 1900, the money supply was stable and so were the costs of necessities. After creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913, all of that changed. So, how much has the money supply been increased in the past 50 years? Well, in 1963, a family breakfast consisting of a dozen eggs, a pound of bacon, a 10-pound bag of potatoes, a pound of bread, a pound of coffee and a gallon of orange juice could be had for $3.69. Now, ask the household shopper what it would cost today, $60-$70? …………………. Politicians in California, a state with no history of slavery, are chomping at the bit to force some folks to give other folks money simply based on skin color, then calling it “reparations.” Can racism be demonstrated more clearly? Forcing one man to arbitrarily work for another is the very definition of slavery. ……………. Now we find that federal “COVID relief” funds are being “repurposed,” in some jurisdictions, to pay reparations. Why is it our noble representatives are so quick to mount their high horses when a private business attempts a bait and switch, yet their morality becomes as flexible as a linguini noodle when the opportunity to buy votes arises? ………………. How did society become so absurd that we have some people being held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while other people are not held responsible for the things they do today? …………… For several years, the mainstream media attempted to tell us what was true or false, depending on who it helps or hurts politically. Now, they are paying a price. CNN can barely attract half a million primetime viewers on a given night. ……….. George Santos is about to learn what Alex Murdaugh knows about lying. ……………. Environmental extremists like to use the term "climate change deniers," but have you ever heard a single human being who denied that climates change? What skeptics are saying is that folks who cannot predict the weather a month from now probably don’t know what the climate will be in the next century. They would be more accurately called, “fortune teller deniers.” …………….. Don’t say failure is never rewarded. Just look at the sentencing disparities between those convicted of murder and those who attempted murder but failed. …………. Politicians say the rich don’t “pay their fair share.” Yet, the facts show the top one percent pay 42% of all income tax collected, while the bottom fifty percent pay less than 3%? Those politicians are unwittingly right. They obviously pay more than their fair share. ………….. One of the challenges of growing up used to be to accept who you are — your limitations as well as your talents. Today, children can bypass the effort by simply identifying as that which they desire to be. Society has been sufficiently dumbed down to the point that delusions often gain the widespread perception of reality. If we continue down this road, the ability to reason may some day be a lost art. ……………………. Electric cars are a tyrant’s wet dream, since they can be easily hacked, controlled remotely and made to perform erratically, in addition to having a third-party operated “kill switch.” No wonder government relentlessly subsidizes them, while mandating against and seeking to ban the superior alternative. ………….. Actions speak louder than words. It was quite revealing that 164 Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to give illegal aliens voting rights in Washington DC elections. Has the unspoken part of Biden’s open border policy strategy been finally said out loud? …………. Americans earning less than $400K will not pay “a single penny” more in taxes proclaims Joe Biden just as the IRS moves to crack down on those collecting tips. Did you realize that waiters and waitresses were so wealthy? ……………….. Every economist knows that if you want less of something, you penalize it and if you want more of something, you subsidize it. That being the case, Oregon must be the only state with a shortage of homelessness. They seem willing to pay $1000 a month to anyone willing to achieve the status. ………
